Difor Swiss Chronograph Watch
Difor Suisse is not a Swiss company, even though many of the components used in the manufacture of this watch obviously come from the Swiss Confederation. Difor, a contraction of DIFfusion hORlogère, was actually a French company from Besançon, specializing in mail-order watch sales.
Founded in Besançon at the end of the Second World War, the company has truly ventured into all areas of watchmaking: there are, marketed under the brands Difor, Difor Besançon or Difor Suisse, kitchen clocks, alarm clocks and of course a whole host of wristwatches.
Difor was a French assembler of both French and Swiss movements, which reached its peak during the 1960s, when the brand was the result of a merger of around ten watchmaking companies in the region. The company was partially taken over by Maty, its main competitor, in 1982.
Here we have a sublime example of a DIFOR Suisse chronograph with the incredible Valjoux 7734 mechanical winding movement.
What makes this an exceptional piece is that this watch is first hand and comes with its box, its original warranty and the original strap.
It was offered for the owner's communion in 1974.
Its cosmetic condition is sublime for a piece over 50 years old.
The watch has been serviced and is running perfectly.

DAILY MAINTENANCE

- Remove your jewelry before sleeping or during physical activities to avoid accidental deformation or loss.
CLEANING ACCORDING TO THE TYPE OF JEWELRY
Each material requires appropriate care:
- Gold & Platinum : Clean with a soft cloth and warm soapy water, then dry thoroughly.
- Money : A special silver cloth can remove oxidation without damaging the metal.
- Precious stones : A simple pass under lukewarm water with a soft brush is sufficient, except for porous stones such as emerald or opal, which require more precautions.
