The ball ring is one of the great classics of post-war jewelry, a generous, almost sculptural form that concentrates all the goldsmith's mastery into a single volume. This one, dating from the late 1940s, is crafted in 18-karat rose-yellow gold.
The setting is openwork, worked in open, lightened from the inside to create a voluminous piece without heaviness on the finger. It is adorned with small 8x8-cut diamonds, an old-cut with eight facets characteristic of jewelry from the first half of the 20th century, and an old round brilliant-cut central diamond of approximately 0.20 carats.
A collector's piece, consistent in its materials and its era, in exceptional condition for its age.
