The butterfly's wings are entirely paved with bluish-grey sapphires of varying sizes, set with the characteristic care of Dodo's Milanese jewelry expertise, the older sister of Pomellato and heir to the Italian jewelry tradition. The hue of the sapphires, between grey and blue, gives the piece a rare chromatic palette, more sophisticated than the versions featuring classic blue sapphires.
